Reports from all over the globe warn about weird-acting strangers bursting into homes and snatching people away. But that won't stop David from having a party, cuz he doesn't care about the news!

Can his loyal dog, Raymond, break through the illusions brought by the strange party guests coming in? Or will his human become the latest test subject for the visitors from outer space?

Raymond VS The Party Snatchers was done for the Themed Horror Game Jam #18.

---How to play--

You play as Raymond, the bestest dog there is. Using the tools you can find, you must identify the aliens hiding among the guests at the party and reveal their true form so that your human, David, can beat their ass!

If you can keep the aliens from overwhelming the humans at the party by midnight, you might just make it out alive!

Bark at the guests to get their attention. Grab a knife or a boombox and watch closely! How they respond to you or the item you're carrying will hint you about their true nature.

Once you find a strange guest, attack them to break through their disguise! But beware, because if you harm a human you'll get sent to time out, leaving the party open for intruders! However, if you reveal an alien hiding amonsgt the guests, they will not take kindly to your meddling and chase after you! Lead them to your human, David, so that he can knock them out for good!

---Controls---

- Use mouse and keyboard to move and look around.

- Bark with spacebar.

- Pick up item with E.

I managed to get the Good ending and the Bad ending... I wonder if there's more????

Hey, Greydux! Thanks so much for sharing!

At the moment there are only the two endings, after the gamejam period, however, I plan on redoing the endings so that they are proper cutscenes and I want to add a third secret ending too!

Paper Ghost has done it again with their latest game, offering a unique and engaging experience. While it doesn't lean into the horror genre, it feels more like a dynamic version of tower defense, which keeps the gameplay fresh and exciting.

The game feels great to play, with smooth mechanics and intuitive controls that make it genuinely enjoyable. However, I think the music could be more dynamic, especially given the house party setting. A soundtrack that evolves as time passes would greatly enhance the atmosphere and keep the energy alive.

One challenge I faced was distinguishing the body snatchers from the other characters. The only real clue was their ominous dial-up sound, which, while creepy, wasn’t always enough to identify them quickly. Making their bodily reactions more noticeable would definitely improve the gameplay and make these encounters more thrilling.

A fun feature to note is the "dog vision" mode. Don’t forget to turn it on for the full B movie experience! It adds a quirky charm to the game and is a delightful touch that fans of the genre will appreciate.

The game would also benefit from more sound effects during fights. Adding these would make the action scenes more immersive and impactful, bringing the combat to life in a way that’s currently missing.

Overall, Amaakir has crafted another excellent game, showcasing their creativity and skill in game development. Despite a few minor areas for improvement, this game is a testament to their ability to deliver fun and engaging experiences. I'm really looking forward to the next version of this release and seeing how they continue to innovate and refine their work.
